Maryland Bankers Association Promotes Evan Richards to Vice President of Government and Member Relations

The Maryland Bankers Association (MBA) today announced the promotion of Evan Richards to Vice President of Government and Member Relations, reflecting his expanded leadership role and continued contributions to the association’s advocacy and membership efforts.
In this role, Richards will continue to oversee MBA’s government relations efforts while strengthening engagement with member institutions across Maryland. He will continue to serve as a key liaison between MBA members, policymakers, and regulatory stakeholders, advancing policies that support a strong and competitive banking industry.
“Evan has been an effective and trusted advocate for Maryland’s banking community,” said Maryland Bankers Association President & CEO Tisha Edwards. “His understanding of legislative and regulatory issues, combined with his relationships with policymakers and bankers, makes him exceptionally well suited for this leadership role.”
Richards has played an integral role in coordinating advocacy initiatives, legislative outreach, and member engagement programs, including banker participation in state and federal advocacy events. His promotion underscores MBA’s commitment to elevating experienced leadership that delivers value to its members.
