Open to ambitious, rising banking professionals across Maryland, the MBA Emerging Leaders Program is designed to cultivate the next generation of industry leaders. Through a highly interactive and immersive experience, participants gain valuable leadership skills, industry knowledge, and meaningful connections with banking executives, policymakers, and fellow emerging professionals.
This premier program provides exclusive opportunities to engage with industry thought leaders, strengthen advocacy and leadership capabilities, and expand professional networks. Emerging Leaders leave the program better equipped to lead their organizations, influence the future of banking, and advance their careers with confidence.
The Ideal Nominee
The Emerging Leaders Program is designed for high-potential banking professionals with fewer than 10 years of banking experience who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to professional growth.
Ideal nominees are individuals who:
- Aspire to leadership roles within their organizations
- Currently manage teams or projects and are looking to expand their impact
- Demonstrate initiative, engagement, and a passion for the banking industry
- Are interested in developing meaningful relationships with peers and industry leaders across Maryland
For banks committed to investing in future leaders, this program offers a unique opportunity to strengthen talent, build industry connections, and develop the skills needed to navigate an evolving banking landscape.
Program Components
Exclusive Access to Industry Thought Leaders
Participate in seven curated “anchor” sessions featuring influential banking executives, industry experts, and advocacy leaders addressing critical issues facing the industry.
Leadership, Advocacy & Professional Development Experiences
Engage in association-sponsored programs and events designed to strengthen leadership, communication, and advocacy skills while expanding industry knowledge and professional networks.
Philanthropic & Community Service Project
Collaborate with fellow Emerging Leaders to design and implement a meaningful community service initiative that demonstrates the banking industry’s commitment to giving back.
Program Expectations
Participation in the Emerging Leaders Program requires a strong commitment to engagement throughout the program year. Participants are expected to attend all seven mandatory anchor sessions and actively engage in program activities.
Meetings are held in person at locations throughout Maryland and may require occasional travel, including at least one overnight stay. Consistent participation ensures Emerging Leaders receive the full benefit of this transformative leadership experience.
