Bankers Challenge is one of our most dynamic and engaging industry events—bringing together banking professionals from across Maryland for spirited competition, team-building, and meaningful professional engagement. Participants take part in a variety of engaging and inclusive activities—such as lunch & learn, pickleball, cornhole, fishing, and golf—designed to promote collaboration, strengthen organizational cohesion, and cultivate lasting professional relationships across the banking community.
Whether competing alongside colleagues or engaging with peers from other institutions, Bankers Challenge offers a unique platform to reinforce internal connections, broaden industry perspective, and celebrate shared achievements. The day concludes with an awards reception, providing an opportunity to recognize accomplishments, reflect on the experience, and continue building professional rapport in a relaxed and collegial atmosphere.
To further enhance the experience, attendees are invited to participate in “Panels, Paddles & Pop Star Wannabes” on Thursday, September 17. This gathering offers valuable insights, professional development opportunities, and additional time for meaningful engagement ahead of the events on Friday.

About: We’re excited to introduce a new component to the Bankers Challenge—dedicated time to connect with fellow Maryland bankers, strengthen relationships, and exchange ideas and solutions.
Following lunch, attendees enjoy two engaging presentations. The first, led by the Maryland Office of Financial Regulation and the Governor’s Innovation Team, highlights the Maryland Community Investment Venture (MCIV) Fund’s creation and expansion to increase access to capital in underserved communities. The second presentation, delivered by Homeland Security Investigations—the primary criminal investigative arm of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security—provides an overview of its mission and structure, along with a compelling case study demonstrating its work to combat money laundering and other financial crimes.
