A Partnership Between the Maryland Bankers Association and the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business

About The Partnership

The Maryland Bankers Association and the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business have joined together to create the Smith Banking Fellows Program; an initiative focused on developing future banking professionals. Through academic coursework, hands-on internships, and industry engagement opportunities, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and professional connections needed to succeed in banking and financial services. Of the program’s 45 Banking Fellows, 10 secured summer internships with MBA Member Banks, gaining valuable real-world experience while strengthening Maryland’s future banking workforce.
